Dr. Fronjian grew up in Southern California. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from California State University Northridge. He then attended the prestigious Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. While most general dentists start working after graduating dental school, Dr. Fronjian wanted to become a specialist in his field. His high academic achievements while in dental school earned him a position in a highly sougth after residency program at Fresno’s Community Medical Center. Dr. Fronjian completed his General Practice Residency in 2001 and moved to San Diego Ca. to start his professional career. Some of the specialized training Dr. Fronjian has received at the residency includes, hospital operating room full mouth rehabilitation, Oral Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry, Endodontics, and Advanced Restorative techniques. In addition, the residency was located in a level one trauma hospital. This exposed Dr. Fronjian to some of the most severe dental trauma cases. The residents were responsible for emergency treatment of oral trauma 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Dr. Fronjian has been practicing dentistry in San Diego Ca. Since 2001 and has extensive knowledge and skill in general dentistry.
When asked what he strives for in his dental office, Dr. Fronjian responds:
“I have a unique approach to how I practice. I treat all my patients as if they are my family. I only recommend treatment that is necessary and I always give my patients all the information so that they can make an informed decision. I would say I am very conservative when it comes to diagnosing treatment. I routinely see patients for a second or third opinion, and in most cases these patients tell me that my approach was the simplest and least costly.”
Dr. Fronjian is a member of the San Diego Advanced Study Group
Since 1998 the San Diego Advanced Study Club, has brought together the finest general dentists, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, periodontists, and other dental care specialists. Members meet once or twice a month to share cases, ideas, and techniques. The aim is to achieve ever higher levels of professional excellence.
The San Diego study club is part of the Seattle Study Club network. Three fundamental principles underpin this highly successful “university without walls.”
The belief that the highest and most beneficial knowledge and treatment results from understanding the role played by any given technique or treatment within the big picture of interdisciplinary case management.
The conviction that dental practitioners learn more via participation and clinical interaction than observation. Club members enhance their treatment-planning skills through hands-on clinical sessions.
The third principle is that the most effective way to master the challenges posed by the dental profession is to learn from one’s peers in a structured and supportive environment.
Dr. Fronjian is married and has a son and a daughter, both are in grade school. Some of his personal interests include, raising koi fish, growing heirloom tomatoes and playing backgammon.
